Interested in rolling up your sleeves and checking out Silicon Valley? XD: MFA students can spend one semester of their grad experience in San Fran interning with startups, networking with the technology community, meeting innovators, and visiting companies. For four months, students spend four days a week interning with startups and the fifth day visiting tech leaders in the Bay Area. The program is part of the nationally ranked Armstrong Institute for Interactive Media Studies (AIMS) in cooperation with the Institute for Entrepreneurship at Miami University.
Students intern Monday-Thursday. On Fridays, we:
• Visit local companies — from start-ups to giants — for tours, talks, and networking.
• Listen to guest lectures on digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Tour culturally significant sights in the Bay Area. There is almost always a networking component to the tours.
